Missouri Lawyers Weekly Readers’ Poll named him the Best Mediation Attorney in 2009, he is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and The Missouri Bar Family Law Section awarded him the Roger P. Krumm Family Law Award in 2016.
At Washington University School of Law, he was an adjunct professor from 2001 to 2015, teaching courses on mediation, family mediation and negotiation. For 30 years he has authored a mediation chapter in the family law desk book for The Missouri Bar Continuing Legal Education. Mr. Freed has also spoken on family law topics for organizations such as AFCC, The Missouri Bar, the Association for Conflict Resolution, The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, and the Collaborative Family Law Association.
