Certified as a civil mediator under Missouri Supreme Court Rule 17 and holding a certificate in arbitration upon completing the Advanced Arbitration Academy of the USC-JAMS Arbitration Institute, he has also negotiated many favorable settlements for his clients totaling millions of dollars.

Mr. Jacobson has handled a variety of business disputes during his career, including partnership and fiduciary disputes, breaches of contract and fiduciary duty, real estate disputes, RICO claims, and other matters. His client base has included both plaintiffs and defendants alike in a variety of industries, and he recently obtained a significant victory on behalf of aggrieved limited partners against a general partner at trial, where the court awarded his clients $2.8 million for the value of their partnership interest as well as another $2.8 million in punitive damages.

A 1983 graduate of Washington University, Mr. Jacobson obtained his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Boston University School of Law in 1986. He holds his license to practice in Missouri, Illinois and the District of Columbia, and he is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri, the Southern and Central Districts of Illinois and the District of Columbia.
