Kershman focusses his practice on complex domestic litigation, appeals, mediation, and Collaborative family law in Missouri. He is a member of the "IACP" (International Academy of Collaborative Professionals), is a founding member of the Missouri Collaborative Institute (MCI) and its first President and is a member of its Board of Directors. He has assisted clients in collaborative matters as well as cases involving divorce, modification, paternity, child custody, adoption, contempt, and appeals.

Mr. Kershman received his Juris Doctorate from Washington University Law School in St. Louis. He earned his B.S. from St. John's University in New York, and his Masters Degree in Business from Webster University in St. Louis. He is admitted to practice in Missouri, including the Eastern and Western Federal Districts of Missouri as well as the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. 

John D. Kershman has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at Washington University Law School since 2007 in their Trial and Advocacy Program and the Law School's LLM program. Mr. Kershman is an instructor in the LLM program's Introduction to U.S. Law and Methods.  And, he is an instructer in Introduction to Education Law in the Master's Program. Additionally, at Washington University Law School, Mr. Kershman coached the National Civil Rights Appellate Advocacy Team from 2008 to 2011, and 2013-2015.  His teams are three-time National Champions having won the 24th, 25th, and 26th Annual McGee National Civil Rights Competition held at the University of Minnesota.
