Kirk C. Stange

Kirk Stange is licensed in Missouri, Illinois and Kansas. He offers experience and compassion to all of his family law clients, no matter the complexity of the case. Mr. Stange is a founding partner at Stange Law Firm, PC and he has years of litigation experience in various kinds of domestic cases. He is licensed to practice in Missouri, Illinois and Kansas.

With vast experience in every type of domestic matter, Mr. Stange has assisted clients in cases involving divorce, family law, paternity, alimony, domestic violence, child custody, adoptions and contempt matters. Even in the most complicated of domestic cases, Mr. Stange calmly and clearly, yet tenaciously has pursued the best interests of his clients. He understands how divorce and other domestic issues can affect a family.

Mr. Stange authorized a chapter in a book through Aspatore Publishing in 2012 titled: Strategies for Military Family Law: Leading Lawyers on Navigating Family Law in the Armed Forces (Inside the Minds).  Mr. Stange is also the author of a full-length book through Aspatore Publishing in 2014 titled: Prenuptial Agreements Line by Line. In 2015, Kirk authored a chapter in a book through Aspatore Publishing titled: Strategies for Family Law in Illinois: Leading Lawyers on Leveraging Alternative Dispute Resolution, Negotiating Alimony and Child Support, and Managing Client Expectations (Inside the Minds). In 2019, Kirk co-authored two chapters in the 2019 Cumulative Supplement to Chapter 13 "Adult Protection Orders and Child Protecting Order" and the 2019 Cumulative Supplement to Chapter 29 "Rights of the Unwed" in the Missouri Family Law (7th ed.) published by The Missouri Bar.  

Besides being selected to Super Lawyers by Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers Magazine since 2015, Mr. Stange has received numerous awards, including:

• Mr. Stange was recognized by the Missouri Bar in the "Best of CLE Spotlight" in 2017.
• Mr. Stange was selected to Rising Stars by Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers Magazine in 2013 and 2014.
• Mr. Stange is Family Lawyer Magazine Recognizes from 2019 to Present. 
• Mr. Stange was named to The POWER List Top 30 for Family Law by Missouri Lawyers Media, since 2020.

Mr. Stange is often known in the legal community as a speaker at legal seminars and other engagements through the Missouri Bar and National Business Institute.  Mr. Stange was a guest in 2019 on a Missouri Bar Podcast titled: Is it Legal to...Love and Marriage.  Mr. Stange also spoke at the 8th Circuit Judicial Conference in Omaha, Nebraska in 2014.  Further, Mr. Stange is an adjunct professor at Emory University School of Law.  Mr. Stange is also a trained mediator and collaborative family law attorney. 

In the community Mr. Stange is active.  For example, at Maryville University, Mr. Stange served on the National Leadership Council at Maryville University and on the Advisory Council of Kids Rock Cancer, a music therapy program for children with cancer.  Mr. Stange is the President of the Missouri Collaborative Institute.  Mr. Stange has previously served as a mentor for the Missouri Bar Mentoring Program. Further, Mr. Stange is on the FindLaw Innovation Board. For his service to the community, Kirk received the 2015 Making a Difference Award from Old Newsboys and the 2016 Golden Plate Award. In the Spring of 2020, it was announced that Kirk would serve as co-chairs for Old Newsboys for 2020-21. Old Newsboys is a non-profit organization that has raised millions of dollars for hundreds of area children's charities. Kirk also serves on the Board of Directors for the Mid-County YMCA (2021 - Present).
