Angela L. Spitaleri

The founder of the Spitaleri Law Firm, Angela L. Spitaleri focuses her practice primarily on family law matters. Her firm is located in Independence, Missouri, and she provides representation to clients throughout the greater Kansas City metropolitan area. Ms. Spitaleri attended Syracuse University as an undergraduate, where she majored in public relations and received a Bachelor of Science cum laude. She then went on to pursue her legal education at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, and in 2012, she was awarded her Juris Doctor.

Many of Ms. Spitaleri’s clients are area residents whose marriages have broken down and who are now having to deal with such divorce-related issues as spousal and child support, property division, and child custody and visitation. An experienced trial attorney, she advocates on their behalf in the courtroom when negotiations have broken down and her clients have not been able to come to an accord on these issues during mediation sessions with their estranged spouses.

In addition to her divorce practice, Ms. Spitaleri has extensive experience in preparing and reviewing prenuptial and postmarital agreements, and she assists those of her clients whose marriages have already been legally dissolved and who are now seeking modifications to or the enforcement of existing parenting and support court orders. She has been admitted to practice before all Missouri state courts since 2012 and before all Kansas state courts since the following year. Ms. Spitaleri’s professional affiliations include the Family Law Section of The Missouri Bar and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and she has been named by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys as one of the Top 10 Family Law Attorneys Under Age 40 in Missouri.
