Erin B. Bajackson

A member of Albano, Richart, Welch & Bajackson, LLC, Erin B. Bajackson focuses her practice exclusively on family law matters, including mediations for parties involved in family law litigation. From the firm's offices in Independence, Missouri, she provides representation to clients throughout the greater Kansas City metropolitan area, including portions of the state of Kansas. She is admitted to practice before all Missouri and Kansas state courts, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri and the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas.

A significant portion of Ms. Bajackson's practice involves assisting people whose marriages are coming to an end and who are thus having to deal with issues such as property division, spousal and child support, and child custody and visitation. An accomplished and forceful courtroom advocate when litigation is necessary, her background in mediation also allows her to help her clients reach an accord on those matters through the use of that alternative dispute resolution method. In addition to her divorce practice, Ms. Bajackson's family law experience has included adoptions, paternity establishment and disputes, and the preparation and review of prenuptial agreements. She has also been appointed as guardian ad litem for minor children who are the subject of contentious child custody disputes.

Ms. Bajackson majored in broadcast journalism and mass communications at The University of Kansas and received a Bachelor of Science in 2001. After she graduated, she spent several years as a sports anchor and reporter for Time Warner Cable Metro Sports. Deciding that she wanted to pursue a legal career, Ms. Bajackson enrolled at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, and she received the John Speca Family Law Award before being awarded her Juris Doctor in 2013. Her professional memberships include the Eastern Jackson County Bar Association.
