He earned his undergraduate degree in political science with a secondary major in international studies and a minor in French from Kansas State University. Following graduation, Brendan spent five years in Seoul, South Korea, teaching language classes at public schools, private academies, and the Seoul National University of Education. He then returned to Kansas in 2011 to attend Washburn University School of Law and was sworn in to KS Federal & Kansas courts in September of 2013.  He is also licensed to practice in Missouri, Western District of MO, and the Prairie Band Pottawatomie Nation Tribal Court.
