Hyemin Byun

Hyemin Byun is an associate attorney at the law office of DiPasquale Moore in Kansas City, Missouri, and provides earnest representation to victims of workplace injuries and helps them get the government benefits they deserve and not let their pain define them. A consummate professional, she is also deeply compassionate about her clients and works tooth and nail to give her clients effective counsel. 

Coming from an immigrant background, Ms. Byun is easily able to step in the shoes of others and realize the pain and suffering they have endured. This sheer level of empathy is the fuel she uses to get her clients to greener pastures without inundating them with stress and frustration throughout the process. Due to this, she worked as a public defender at the Sedgwick County Public Defender’s Office and has helped a plethora of individuals with their legal problems. Her exposure to the workings of the justice system and its clear understanding provides a keen advantage in strategy-building, as well as anticipating the opposition’s next move.

At The University of Kansas, Ms. Byun majored in applied behavioral sciences with a minor in business and graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2013. She then attended the Washburn University School of Law, and during her time there, played important roles in the Asian American Law Society and the Women’s Legal Forum. She received her Juris Doctor in 2016 and later obtained her license to practice in Kansas and Missouri. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Kansas.

Outside her law practice, Ms. Byun is a member of the Johnson County Bar Association and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and regularly attends a variety of sporting events.
