- Ngandu v. Brookfield Tractor- Jury Verdict- $3,500,000. 57% fault to defendant and 43% to plaintiff resulting in a net judgment of $1,995,000 in favor of plaintiff. The verdict was the 8th highest verdict of 2021 according to Missouri Lawyers Weekly. Plaintiff's husband was a truck driver who was killed when a combine header fell on him while it was being unloaded from his truck at the dealership. Plaintiff alleged that Brookfield Tractor was negligent in failing to provide properly rated equipment for unloading the combine header and for failing to provide employee training on safe loading/unloading. These failures caused the header to fall from the telehandler forks during the unloading process and strike Mr. Ngandu in the head, resulting in his death., 2021
