Michael Thomas Yonke is the founding member and trial team leader of Yonke Law, L.L.C., in Kansas City, Missouri. With a practice focused on personal injury, he works hard to help the seriously injured recover all necessary compensation.
Mr. Yonke has dedicated his life to the practice of law. While he was a student at the University of Missouri in Columbia, he served as an intern at the Jackson County prosecutor's office and the Missouri Attorney General's capital case unit.
Later, while earning his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, Mr. Yonke continued to work for the Jackson County prosecutor's office, where he helped with high-profile criminal cases. Following law school, Mr. Yonke spent several years working at his father's law firm. He opened his own firm in 2001.
Active in professional organizations, Mr. Yonke serves on the board of governors for the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys. He is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the American Association for Justice and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an organization consisting of attorneys who have recovered verdicts or settlements for their clients of $2 million or more.
His dedication has earned Mr. Yonke respect within the legal profession. He has been featured in the Kansas City Business Journal's "Best of the Bar" and the publication "The Best Lawyers in America." He has received a rating of AV Preeminent* from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating from the prominent peer review organization.
Mr. Yonke serves the board of directors for the Derrick Thomas/Neil Smith Third and Long Foundation, an organization dedicated to improving literacy.
