P. Glen Smith

Attorney Glen Smith is the founder/owner of Lifescape Elder Care Law & Estate Planning, a holistic, multidisciplinary Life Care Planning Law Firm. After a successful career in the corporate realm, he decided to begin his own practice centered on serving people, exclusively in the areas of Life Care Planning, Estate, Charitable & Tax Planning, Special Needs, Elder Law, and is an accredited VA Attorney. He has offices in Kansas and Missouri, and he provides representation to clients throughout the greater Kansas City metropolitan area. 

Mr. Smith attended the Tennessee Technological Institute as an undergraduate and received a Bachelor of Science in 1978. He then went on to pursue his legal education at the University of Memphis Cecil C, Humphrey School of Law, and in 1983, he was awarded his Juris Doctor. Mr. Smith also holds a Master of Divinity from the Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri, having obtained that in 2007.

Glen genuinely enjoys people; He listens to each person’s story and situation to help them develop a plan which best fits their family’s circumstances & life’s values. As a husband, father to five, and grandfather to 15, Glen understands the confusion that can occur in certain seasons of life. Glen is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Academy of Special Needs Planners, Life Care Planning Law Firm Association, and Business Network International. 

In his elder law practice, Mr. Smith furnishes advice and counsel to older clients and their family members and other loved ones on a variety of matters. He works with them to determine the type of long-term care that is most suitable for their needs, including assisted living facilities and nursing homes, and he advises them on Medicaid planning and asset protection. Mr. Smith has been admitted to practice before all Missouri state courts since 1984.
