After completing his undergraduate studies at California State University, Dominguez Hills in 2017, Mr. Phillips attended The University of Kansas School of Law and received his Juris Doctor in 2020. Further, he was honored with the University of Kansas School of Law Advocacy Certificate for his skills in trial settings. He also obtained his license to practice in Missouri the same year he graduated from law school.

During his law studies, Mr. Phillips had the opportunity to intern at the KU Law Medical-Legal Partnership (MLP), where he further developed and strengthened his legal skills by assisting underprivileged individuals in overcoming legal obstacles. Moreover, after graduating from law school, he began his legal career working at the Shawnee County Public Defender Office.

Outside his law practice, Mr. Phillips is a member of the Kansas Bar Association and The Missouri Bar. Demonstrating an unwavering reserve of empathy, he dedicates his leisure hours to the noble cause of serving the Lawrence Humane Society and its surrounding community.
