Stephen L. Bishop

Stephen L. Bishop is a lawyer practicing at the law office of Brown & Crouppen, P.C., located in Kansas City, Missouri; the law firm has multiple offices in Missouri and Illinois. Mr. Bishop handles complex personal injury cases and provides legal representation to individuals and their families throughout Missouri.

Prior to joining Brown & Crouppen, P.C., Mr. Bishop focused on products liability, wrongful death, and employment retaliation and discrimination cases. Licensed to practice in Missouri and Kansas, he earned his law degree from The University of Kansas School of Law in 2018. During his time there, he actively participated in the in-house moot court competition and the in-house mock trial. Furthermore, he completed appellate advocacy under the guidance of Kansas Supreme Court Justice Caleb Stegall.

Mr. Bishop pursued his undergraduate education at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas. In 2014, he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in general studies, focusing on English literature.

An active member of the legal community, Mr. Bishop is a part of professional associations such as the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA) – Young Lawyers Section Social Committee, the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association. His dedication to professional development is evident through his participation in various programs and academies. He took part in the Ross T. Roberts Trial Academy organized by KCMBA from 2019 to 2020. Moreover, he completed the KCMBA Bar Leadership Academy in 2022, further enhancing his skills and knowledge in the legal field.

Apart from his work at his current firm, Mr. Bishop has dedicated his time to community service. He has taken part in KCMBA's Ask-A-Lawyer telethon and volunteered as counsel for parents in need of representation at the Jackson County Family Court. Highlighted among his notable achievements are his successful case results, including obtaining a $250,000 policy limits offer for a client injured while riding a bicycle.
