Michael W. Manners

A pillar of leadership within his legal community with nearly half a century of experience, Michael W. Manners utilizes his expansive legal and practical knowledge to help his clients in their time of need. At the law office of Langdon & Emison in Lexington, Missouri, he efficiently works to resolve their personal injury cases with grace and poise all while prioritizing their well-being and futures. 

Mr. Manners completed his undergraduate studies in 1972, graduating with his Bachelor of Science summa cum laude from the University of Central Missouri. He went on to attend the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, where he honed his shrewd legal acumen and talents with the foresight of helping clients in the future. He received his Juris Doctor in 1976, and in the same year, he obtained his license to practice law in Missouri. Later on, he became admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri, the United States Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.

A consummate professional through and through, Mr. Manners leverages all the tools in his legal arsenal at his clients’ behest, fighting tooth and nail to get them the compensation they deserve no matter the complexity of their cases – including catastrophic injuries, truck accidents, products liability and wrongful death, among many others. For his many contributions, he has been named the 2020 Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers and has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America for his work in plaintiffs’ personal injury and products liability law. 

Outside his law practice, Mr. Manners maintains close affiliations with many prominent legal organizations, including the American Association for Justice, the American Board of Trial Advocacy, the Attorneys Information Exchange Group and the American Judges Association. Furthermore, he is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the Missouri Bar Association and the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, the latter organization of which he served as a past president.
