Marshall Woody

Currently serving clients around Missouri, Marshall Woody is an established attorney handling matters of business litigation and appellate issues. Upon graduating from the University of Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in English, Mr. Woody went on to gain a master's degree in fine arts in writing from Long Island University. He later pursued his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, where he served as a note and comment editor of the UKMC Law Review. He was awarded the West Publishing Company Award for Outstanding Scholarly Accomplishment. In 2011, he earned his Juris Doctor and was admitted to practice law in Missouri. He also holds licensure to practice in Kansas.

Additionally, Mr. Woody is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit. Kicking off his career as a law clerk for the Hon. Zel M. Fischer at the Supreme Court of Missouri, he earned early exposure to judicial proceedings. He later joined a top law firm, where he handled civil cases involving insurance defense, insurance coverage disputes, business and commercial litigation, professional liability and personal injury.

Throughout his career, Mr. Woody has authored numerous appellate briefs to state and federal courts across Missouri and Kansas.
