Scott B. Pierson

Scott B. Pierson is a partner at Twibell Pierson Criminal Law in Springfield, Missouri. A talented criminal defense attorney, Mr. Pierson represents clients in the Springfield area and the surrounding areas, including Branson and Lebanon. 

Mr. Pierson handles a wide range of criminal law matters. He has defended Missouri residents against assault charges, drug violations, DWI, federal cases, sex offenses, traffic offenses and other misdemeanors and felonies. Over the course of his career, he has helped clients reach favorable outcomes in numerous criminal cases involving serious charges. 

Mr. Pierson graduated from Missouri State University with a bachelor’s degree. He earned his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. While pursuing his law degree, he was a member of the national moot court team and the recipient of an outstanding oral advocate award at the Ellison Moot Court Competition. He also interned at the Missouri State Public Defender office in Kansas City and belonged to the Order of the Barristers. 

Earlier in his legal career, Mr. Pierson practiced at a private Kansas City law firm, gaining experience in class action lawsuits and personal injury law, in addition to criminal law. 

Mr. Pierson later returned to the Springfield area and practiced criminal defense law for the Missouri State Public Defender. He then practiced at a Springfield law firm before co-founding Twibell Pierson Criminal Law. His extensive background in criminal defense law enables him to provide the best possible defense for his clients.

Committed to professional development, Mr. Pierson has lectured for groups including the Missouri Bar and the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mr. Pierson has been the recipient of the Springfield Business Journal's Trusted Advisor Award, Missouri Lawyer Weekly Up and Coming Attorneys, and the Springfield Bar Associations - President Award for outstanding service to the Springfield Community.
