Seth W. Slayden

Seth W. Slayden is a judicious civil trial litigator at Taylor Siemens Elliott Creedy & Lyle P.C. He is dedicated to providing tenacious and steadfast legal representation to residents of St. Joseph and the surrounding areas in Missouri. His areas of practice include a wide range of legal matters:

In 2012, Mr. Slayden earned his Bachelor of Science degree in political science from Northwest Missouri State University. Three years later, he graduated from law school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Throughout law school, he made it to the dean's list every semester and was inducted into the Order of Barristers. He served as a staff member in two prestigious law journals – UMKC Law Review and the Urban Lawyer, where he earned the position of case note and review editor.

Mr. Slayden's accomplishments extend beyond his individual success. He excelled as a member of several competition teams, including winning the Ellison Moot Court Competition. His skills also led him to become a semi-finalist in both the National Moot Court and the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Regional competitions. His dedication to the legal field was further demonstrated by his two-year tenure as a teaching assistant for Contracts I and II during law school.

First admitted to practice in Missouri in 2015, Mr. Slayden is also authorized to appear in Kansas and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri. He is a member of the Kansas Bar Association, The Missouri Bar and the American Bar Association.
