A highly regarded attorney, Christine A. Alsop is the owner of the Elder and Disability Advocacy Firm of Christine A. Alsop, LLC. Located in Kirkwood, Missouri, and she provides representation to clients throughout the state.  Ms. Alsop has extensive experience with the complicated area of Elder Law including Medicaid and long-term care planning, the preparation of special needs trusts, guardianships, conservatorships, capacity concerns and asset protection. She also prepares basic estate planning for probate avoidance, but also for long-term care planning that may be needed in the future. In addition to providing advice and counsel to older clients, people who are disabled and their family members, she has represented both individual and institutional fiduciaries. 

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in theater from Saint Louis University in 1986, Ms. Alsop pursued her legal education at Valparaiso University Law School. After being awarded her Juris Doctor in 1989, she joined the Office of the Missouri Attorney General, where she handled both civil and criminal cases during two different tenures there. Ms. Alsop then entered private practice in 1997, and she gained elder law experience at area law firms before opening her own practice in January 2011. She has received a 10.0 "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo.

Ms. Alsop is admitted to practice before all Missouri and Illinois state courts as well as before the Supreme Court of the United States. The former chair of both the Elder Law Committee of The Missouri Bar and the Advocacy/Litigation Section of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys Inc., she is an active participant in several other organizations. Her memberships include the Academy of Special Needs Planners and the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys. She served as the President of the American Parkinson's Disease Association--St. Louis Chapter and has served on the boards of the Downs Syndrome Association and Aging Ahead (the Meals on Wheels Organization).

She taught the Elder Law class at St. Louis University with another respected colleague, and Ms. Alsop is often asked to present on the complicated issues of Elder Law and Special Needs Planning to both professionals and community groups.
