Ms. Garrison also has represented thousands of consumers from Missouri and other states in class actions and other complex litigation against large corporations, including Bayer Corp., AT&T, Inc., Aurora Dairy Corp., Stoneville Pedigreed Seed Company, and Merck & Co., culminating in multi-million dollar recoveries. She was trial counsel in three trials having bellwether status in multi-district litigation resolved by a $750 million settlement, defending each plaintiff’s verdict as lead appellate counsel prior to settlement.
After earning her B.S. in hospital administration with honors from University of Missouri-Columbia in 1982, Ms. Garrison attended the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law, where she served on the UMKC Law Review and received her J.D. in 1986. She is admitted to practice in Missouri and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit.
Prior to joining Gray Ritter Graham, Ms. Garrison served as deputy appellate counsel for the Office of the Missouri Attorney General and general counsel for the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, and she was a partner at a large regional law firm. Ms. Garrison also served as primary appellate counsel to the Missouri Department of Revenue, as well as Deputy Appellate Counsel for the Missouri Attorney General’s Office, where she was responsible for appellate policy and argument on behalf of state agencies.
She is listed in Best Lawyers in America for Appellate Law.
Ms. Garrison is a member in several professional organizations, including the American Bar Association, the Women Lawyers' Association of Greater St. Louis and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, where she chairs its Appellate Practice Committee.
She speaks and lectures on health care law, negligence and products liability, and serves on the Board of Directors of Mid-America Transplant Services, an organization dedicated to saving lives by facilitating and coordinating the organ and tissue donation process.
