James G. Onder

James G. Onder, the distinguished founder and an attorney at OnderLaw, has built a remarkable career focusing on personal injury law. With his office located in St. Louis, Missouri, and extending his practice to Illinois statewide, his practice is a beacon of hope for many. Leading a dedicated team of 30 attorneys and over 150 staff members, he has achieved over $5 billion in settlements and verdicts, championing the rights of plaintiffs. Notably, he negotiated a groundbreaking $8.9 billion agreement with Johnson & Johnson for victims of talc-related cancer.

Mr. Onder's journey began at Washington University in St. Louis, where he majored in accounting, earning his Bachelor of Science in 1985. He then pursued his legal education at Saint Louis University School of Law, where he excelled academically, graduating in the top 10 percent of his class in 1988. His dedication to the legal field is evident through his involvement with the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and his admission to practice in Missouri, Illinois, and several federal district courts.

Throughout his illustrious career, Mr. Onder has achieved remarkable success, securing settlements and jury awards totaling hundreds of millions of dollars for his clients. Mr. Onder proudly serves on the board of governors for the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys. His exceptional work has also been recognized with the esteemed National Litigator Award, along with many other honors.

A pioneer in talcum powder-related ovarian cancer litigation, Mr. Onder filed the second case in the nation and the first in Missouri in 2014. OnderLaw now represents over 20,000 women affected by talc-related cancers, making it the largest such docket in the country. Additionally, his advocacy in mini-blind-related death and injury litigation has led to significant design changes, saving countless young lives.
