John L. Wilbers is an attorney and partner at The Wilbers Law Firm LLC, in St. Louis, Missouri. Mr. Wilbers represents individuals and/or their families who have sustained serious personal injury or death due to car accidents, motorcycle accidents, trucking accidents, slip and falls, and watercraft accidents or experienced other catastrophic injuries throughout Missouri and Illinois. He also handles workers’ compensation matters.
Mr. Wilbers earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Missouri Robert J. Trulaske, Sr., College of Business and obtained a law degree from the University of Missouri School of Law. During law school, he gained legal experience by clerking for the Supreme Court of Missouri. He also served as an instructor for the University’s Business College and was Chairman of the law school’s Honor and Ethics committee.
In addition to his University education, Mr. Wilbers received a certificate from Georgetown University’s Bryce Harlow Institute on Business & Government Affairs. He has been admitted to practice law since 2003 and is licensed to practice in Missouri, Illinois, and Montana.
Before joining The Wilbers Law Firm LLC, Mr. Wilbers worked for two private firms in St. Louis, litigating on behalf of railroad workers injured on the job. This experience was fundamental in developing his knowledge of the Federal Employers’ Liability Act.
Outside of his law practice, Mr. Wilbers is active in various professional legal organizations. He belongs to the State Bars of Missouri, Illinois, and Montana, St. Louis County and Cole County Bar Associations, the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, and the American Association for Justice. Mr. Wilbers and his wife, Laura, have three children, and are active in several non-profit organizations.
