John P. Rogers

The principal founding member of Rogers Sevastianos & Bante, LLP, John P. Rogers provides federal and state criminal defense representation to clients throughout the state of Missouri. From the firm's office in St. Louis, he handles a variety of matters, including child pornography and other sex offenses, driving under the influence, murder, kidnapping, assault and battery, drug possession and trafficking, and white collar crimes such as embezzlement, bank fraud, securities violations, and Medicare and Medicaid fraud. During his career, Mr. Rogers has tried more than 125 cases to verdict.

In 1988, Mr. Rogers graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in finance. He then went on to attend Saint Louis University School of Law and received his Juris Doctor in 1992. Prior to founding his current firm in January 2017, Mr. Rogers was the managing partner at another St. Louis criminal defense firm. He is admitted to practice before all Missouri and Illinois state courts. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri, the U.S. District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of Illinois, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 7th and 8th Circuits, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Mr. Rogers has received an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo. A former member of the board of directors of the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, he remains active in that organization as well as in the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Illinois State Bar Association.
