Attorney Mathew G. Eilerts is a partner with the St. Louis law firm of Growe Eisen Karlen Eilerts. A highly rated attorney with over 20 years of legal experience, Mr. Eilerts focuses his practice exclusively on family law and domestic relations issues, and he has achieved unprecedented success advocating and negotiating on behalf of those who have legal needs involving any of the following:
· Divorce
· Child custody and support
· Spousal support and maintenance
· Complex asset division
· Paternity
· Stepparent adoptions
· Third-party custody cases
· Pre- and postnuptial agreements
· Guardianships
· Modifications and enforcements
· Collaborative divorce and mediation
A staunch advocate for the rights of children, Mr. Eilerts serves as guardian ad litem, and he has achieved a long record of successfully protecting the best interests of the most innocent victims of divorce during complex, high-conflict custody situations. An effective mediator, Mr. Eilerts strives to help his clients resolve their conflicts and reach agreements through collaboration and negotiations instead of relying on the courts to make determinations about such sensitive matters.
In all cases, Mr. Eilerts is fully prepared to do whatever is necessary to help his clients achieve the positive results they expect and deserve, and he has earned recognition from Best Lawyers and other peer review sources as one of the top family law attorneys in the region.
After graduating from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 1996, Mr. Eilerts attended Saint Louis University School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1999. The Missouri Bar admitted him to practice that same year, and the Illinois State Bar Association admitted him in 2000.
Highly active in his legal community, Mr. Eilerts is a member of several local, state and national bar associations, and he once served as president for the St. Louis County Bar Association. He also served on the executive committees for the young lawyers' section of The Missouri Bar and the young lawyers' division' executive committee for The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. He also supports his local community through his involvement with various civic and charitable organizations across his area.
