Attorney Richard J. Eisen is a partner with the Growe Eisen Karlen Eilerts law firm in St. Louis, Missouri. Serving individuals and families throughout the greater St. Louis metro region of Missouri and Illinois, Mr. Eisen focuses his practice almost exclusively on family law and domestic relations issues.
Certified as a divorce mediator, Mr. Eisen strives to help his clients resolve their conflicts and reach agreements without the need for expensive, time-consuming court battles; however, he is also a tenacious trial attorney who fights hard for his clients to help them achieve the favorable outcomes they seek for their issues involving their divorce or legal separation.
Along with providing exceptional representation and support to those looking to end their marriages, including all matters related to child custody and support, property division, spousal maintenance and more, Mr. Eisen provides effective pre and postnuptial agreements, and he has extensive experience handling modifications and enforcements of existing court orders as well as paternity actions.
After graduating magna cum laude from Washington University in 1978, Mr. Eisen attended Washington and Lee University School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1981. He is licensed to practice in both Missouri and Illinois, and he maintains an active presence in his legal community, as evidenced by his involvement with The Missouri Bar, where he served as chair for the family law section’s legislative subcommittee. He also represents Kids in the Middle, a not for profit offering counseling services to children whose parents are divorcing.
He is also the past president of the St. Louis County Bar Association and a member of the Illinois Bar Association as well as The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, and he regularly conducts lectures and continuing legal education seminars across his region on a variety of topics related to family law, the dissolution of marriage, child custody modifications and other related subjects.
