Ross W. Buehler

Graduating with a B.A. in political science from Wartburg College in 1983, Mr. Buehler went on to study law at the Drake University Law School. Earning his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1986, he was licensed to practice the same year in Missouri. In 1980, he was admitted before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.

After law school, Mr. Buehler began working as an assistant public defender for four years, defending indigent people charged with serious crimes. He then worked with the well-known criminal defense lawyer Charles M. Shaw for two years before joining the St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, where he worked for 13 years. He was honored with the American Legion Citation for Meritorious Service by the American Legion Post 312, St. Charles, MO, for the services rendered by him as an assistant prosecutor.

Mr. Buehler is a well-accomplished attorney respected by both his peers and the opposing counsel. The St. Charles County Family Violence Council has awarded him with the Light of Excellence for his efforts toward ending violence against children and women. He has an “Excellent” rating on Avvo and endorsements from several colleagues for his professionalism and legal integrity. In addition, he has been rated AV Preeminent* through Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer-review rating in the U.S.

Completing various national courses on prosecution, forensic evidence and courtroom advocacy, Mr. Buehler has gained extensive legal knowledge, with which he has successfully represented several clients over the course of his legal career. Furthermore, he has been made a certified guardian ad litem in St. Charles County, which enables him to advocate for children who are victims of domestic abuse and neglect. 

Staying active in the legal community, Mr. Buehler is a member of the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
