Bryan Charles Tipp is the shareholder of Tipp Coburn & Associates PC situated in Missoula, Montana, and serves clients across the entire state of Montana. He covers a diverse range of areas, including DUI/DWI, criminal defense and litigation of injury claims – automobile and boating accidents, slip-and-fall injuries, and intentional torts. Born and raised in Missoula, Mr. Tipp obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of Montana in 1985. He then pursued his Juris Doctor at the Seattle University School of Law (formerly known as the University of Puget Sound School of Law), completing his legal education in 1987. He is admitted in the state and federal courts of Montana, Washington and Alaska. In the past, he has also appeared before tribal courts. Furthermore, he had temporary permission to practice in California and Wyoming.
After gaining experience in the city prosecutor's office and the Pierce County Department of Assigned Counsel in Tacoma, Washington, Mr. Tipp chose to return to Missoula, and subsequently became a part of the Tipp Coburn & Associates PC law firm.

- Radabuagh v. Holt & Mestling -- Client passenger in rollover automobile accident. Sustained broken neck and lacerations. Insurance company paid policy limits before filing lawsuit. Third party action still being pursued for additional damages., 2010
- State of Montana v. “Doe” -- Client charged with PFMA. Ex-Wife claimed that client struck and held her against her will. Client asserted "self-defense" Jury verdict of "Not Guilty", 2010
- Riley v. Secretary of the Dept. of Health and Human Services, U.S. Court of Federal Claims No. 08-26 V This case was brought in the U.S. Court of Claims pursuant to the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. Our client contracted Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) after receiving a routine influenza vaccine. The GBS initially resulted in the client going into a coma, and recovering from that in a quadriplegic state. Subsequent rehabilitation left the client with a permanent disability. The case was ultimately resolved by settlement in excess of 1.2 Million Dollars., 2010, 2010
- Weed v. Astrue, Commissioner, Social Security Administration, EEOC No. 551-2009-00094X Case brought by Client, a 30% disabled veteran (Retired U.S. Army Reserve Lt. Colonel) and lawyer alleging age discrimination, failure to hire and retaliation and reprisals for prior EEOC filings. Administrative Judge ordered the Social Security Administration to appoint Client to the position sought with the Social Security Administration, retroactive pay to July 2008, retention pay and certain costs, 2011
- Plemmons v. Pierce County, 134 Wn. App. 449, 140 P.3d 601 (2006) -- Innocent victim of identity theft was wrongfully searched by Pierce County officials. Once it was uncovered that the County did this routinely, the case was amended to add class action claims. The Court ruled that Pierce County violated the Constitution. The County appealed and the Court of Appeals ruled that the County's actions violated state law; the appellate court did not decide the constitutional question. The class action case was settled and the County agreed to pay damages to Abra Plemmons and to other class members, as well as attorneys' fees under federal civil rights law., 2007
- Conley v. Neff -- Client rear-ended and sustained a permanent partial injury to her back. Case settled for policy limits of $100,000, with Under-Insured Motorist claim still pending, 2010
- Kuhl v. Davis -- Alaska Supreme Court, County of Juneau -- Client in auto accident sustaining an injury to her back and neck requiring surgery. Settlement in excess of $100,000, 2010
- State of Montana v. “Doe” -- Client was charged with DUI after being found passed out on street in front of Highway Patrol Office, and arrested/charged with DUI. At trial, it was demonstrated from client's doctors that he suffered from a blood sugar disorder, that triggered epileptic seizures. Jury Verdict of Not Guilty., 2010
- MacDonald v. Flint -- Client was helping to push a disabled car that rolled back over her, dragging her 100 feet on gravel roadway. Resulting in permanent scarring and disfigurement to her left leg. Insurance company paid policy limits before filing lawsuit, 2010
