Sarah Barnhill

Within a relatively short period of time, Sarah Barnhill has made mammoth strides within her legal community by providing judicious legal advocacy to clients facing complex and tumultuous family law matters such as divorce, child custody, parenting time, division of assets, guardianships, paternity, modifications, prenuptial agreements and adoption, among many others. She is the founder and managing attorney of Barnhill Family Law, PC, LLO, in Omaha, Nebraska, and serves clients across the surrounding region, as well as in Bellevue, Bennington, Gretna, Papillon, La Vista and Ralston.

Ms. Barnhill understands the emotional pressure and stress that comes with a contentious family law issue, and she works relentlessly to get her clients to a better place in their lives. In more complex cases, such as child custody, she is keenly aware of how it can affect her clients’ daily lives, and she utilizes alternative dispute resolution methods to help them save their time and money – as well as prioritizing their peace of mind and their goals above all else.

A consummate professional through and through, Ms. Barnhill leverages her shrewd legal acumen and practical knowledge on behalf of her clients, helping them stay on top of all the developments of their cases. She fights tooth and nail to get her clients the respite they deserve, and she pursues every available legal avenue to help achieve their goals expeditiously and with care. Within her legal community, she maintains close affiliations with many prominent legal organizations, including the Nebraska State Bar Association (Family Law Section), the Omaha Bar Association and the Sarpy County Bar Association.

Ms. Barnhill completed her undergraduate studies in 2015, graduating with her Bachelor of Arts degree in criminology from Mississippi State University. While there, she was a part of Alpha Kappa Delta and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She went on to enroll in the University of Mississippi School of Law, where he was a part of the Criminal Appeals Clinic, the MacArthur Justice Clinic, the Trial Advocacy Team and the Law Association for Women. She received her Juris Doctor in 2018, and in the same year, she obtained her license to practice law in Nebraska.
