Amy L. Howard

A professional legal practitioner in Nevada, Amy L. Howard concentrates on business, commercial and employment litigation at the law firm Hone Law, which has offices in Utah and Nevada. Licensed to practice law since 2015, she has long years of experience dealing with the issues of employees and addressing matters involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour law violation and settlement negotiations. She represents clients on complex business litigation and helps them in contract disputes and reviewing other agreements.

Ms. Howard’s unique ability to adapt well to changing environments has helped her get accustomed to a variety of fields of law and a broad spectrum of cases. She has successfully represented several financial institutions of repute in noncompete and trade secret misappropriation lawsuits. She has also appeared numerous times before the Nevada Office of the Labor Commissioner and the U.S. Department of Labor for cases including alleged violations of labor law, unpaid wages and other violations of basic employee rights. 

In addition, Ms. Howard has fought on behalf of employers and large corporates against charges of discrimination, harassment and retaliation before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Nevada Equal Rights Commission. She holds professional affiliations with legal associations including the American Bar Association, the Clark County Bar Association and the Military Spouse JD Network.

Attending the Bowling Green State University, Ms. Howard secured a bachelor’s degree in communication in 2004. After obtaining her master’s from the Grand Valley State University in 2006, she pursued her law studies at the University of Nevada – William S. Boyd School of Law. She was licensed by the State Bar of Nevada the same year she graduated with her Juris Doctor.
