Mr. Michaelson is a 1997 B.A. degree graduate in finance from the Utah State University Jon M. Huntsman School of Business. After working as a securities broker for two years, he attended The University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law and received his Juris Doctor in 2001. The same year, he received his license to practice in Nevada and also admission to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Nevada.

Apart from his law practice, Mr. Michaelson stays active in the legal community with involvement in many organizations such as the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, ElderCounsel, WealthCounsel and the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils. He has also spent considerable time and resources in educating his local community on legal matters such as competency and incapacity, long-term care and guardianship disputes.
