Daryl S. Alterwitz

Mr. Daryl Alterwitz is co-founder and Partner of the law firm Alterwitz Katz LLP in Las Vegas, NV, where he has been practicing law for 35 years in and around Clark and Nye County.  After graduating with his bachelor’s degree from University of California, Santa Cruz, Mr. Alterwitz earned his law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1986 and earned his LL.M. (Taxation) at New York University School of Law in 1987.   

Mr. Alterwitz represents several prominent family businesses with an emphasis to personal attention in succession planning of the family business and the family dynamics involved.  Mr. Alterwitz also represents clients in a variety of estate planning, business, and real estate settings.  Mr. Alterwitz has represented clients in business formation and organization, real estate transactions (including leases, purchases, and sales), and probate and trust administration matters.

Mr. Alterwitz has in depth experience representing corporate trust departments, i.e., NV State Bank, Wells Fargo Bank, Bank of Nevada, and Premier Trust.

Mr. Alterwitz has been on the board of many charitable organizations and currently a Board Member with the Junior Achievement USA.

When not in the office, Mr. Alterwitz enjoys cycling, skiing and traveling.
