A founding partner at Garman Turner Gordon LLP in Las Vegas, Nevada, Kristin M. Tyler leads the firm’s Estate Planning and Probate Practice Group. Her legal practice predominantly revolves around estate planning, asset protection, probate and guardianship matters. Ms. Tyler earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree as a Regents Scholar from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in 2002, followed by a J.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2005. She also obtained an MBA from the University of Nebraska in the same year. Licensed in Nevada in 2006, she was admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Nevada.
A respected member of the legal community, Ms. Tyler is involved with Wealth Counsel (serving as a board member), the State Bar of Nevada – Probate and Trust, and the Elder Law sections, the Southern Nevada Estate Planning Council and the Southern Nevada Association of Women Attorneys, among others. She has penned several published articles and presented at local seminars on estate planning and probate topics.
Ms. Tyler frequently offers pro bono legal services and is an ambassador for the Inspire One Initiative of the ONE Promise Nevada Campaign, encouraging other attorneys to participate in pro bono work. In March 2014, the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada honored her as Volunteer of the Month, and she was inducted into the “50 Hours Club” for providing over 50 hours of pro bono service in 2014.
