L. Joe Coppedge

A highly regarded business litigation lawyer, L. Joe Coppedge is an attorney at Mushkin & Coppedge. Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, he provides representation to clients throughout Clark County on a variety of matters. Mr. Coppedge has assisted insurance companies in personal injury and wrongful death litigation arising out of incidents involving motor vehicle accidents and premises liability. He has also litigated breach of contract and other commercial disputes on behalf of clients in a wide range of industries, and he has represented commercial property contractors in disputes involving construction defects and failure to pay for the work completed. In addition to his jury trial work, Mr. Coppedge has handled many of these matters through mediation and arbitration.

As an undergraduate, Mr. Coppedge attended the University of Oklahoma, and he received a bachelor's in business administration in 1985. Remaining in Norman, he then pursued his legal education at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, and he was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1988. Mr. Coppedge relocated to Las Vegas in 1993, and he was of counsel to the local office of a well-known national law firm before joining Mushkin & Coppedge.

Mr. Coppedge is admitted to practice before all Nevada and Oklahoma state courts. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. Mr. Coppedge is an active participant in the State Bar of Nevada and several other professional organizations.
