He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California, San Diego, and his law degree from the University of Wyoming College of Law in Laramie, Wyoming, graduating with honors.
In addition to his law practice, Mr. Christiansen has been death penalty-qualified under Nevada Supreme Court Rule 250 since 1998. He previously spoke on the topic of criminal defense for the National Business Institute and participated in the Clark County Volunteer Lawyers Program.
Mr. Christiansen is a member of several professional organizations, including a Fellowship with the American College of Trial Lawyers, a Fellowship with the American Bar Foundation, the Clark County Bar Association, Nevada Attorneys for Criminal Justice and the Nevada Justice Association and the American Bar Association.
