From his eponymous law firm in Las Vegas, Nevada, Richard A. Harris has spent over 40 years building a pristine, client-centric practice that emphasizes personalized attention, meticulous focus and a relentless work ethic that does rest in pursuit of his clients’ goals. At the Richard Harris Law Firm, he handles all aspects of personal injury law, including motor vehicle accidents, truck collisions, medical malpractice, premises liability, Social Security Disability matters, workers’ compensation and aviation accidents, among many others.
Mr. Harris completed his undergraduate studies in 1980, graduating cum laude with his Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Brigham Young University. While pursuing his communications degree, he was also a licensed radio announcer and worked on important assignments, including the Gary Gilmore double-murder case. He went on to attend the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law, and during his time there, he was a member of the Moot Court Honors Board and interned for Chief Justice John Mowbray of the Nevada Supreme Court.
After receiving his Juris Doctor in 1980, Mr. Harris obtained his license to practice law in both California and Nevada, as well as before the United States District Court for the District of Nevada. After having spent over 25 years helping clients, he enrolled at the Pepperdine University School of Law, Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution, and earned his LL.M. degree in 2009.
Standing tall and strong on behalf of his clients, Mr. Harris has regularly garnered the praise and adulation of his peers for his consistency in progressing the standard of client care in his industry to even greater heights. He has been peer-review rated AV Preeminent* through Martindale-Hubbell, the organization’s highest rating, and hosts a perfect rating of “10.0” on Avvo. Furthermore, he has been the recipient of the Badger Award by the Nevada Justice Association, as well as recognition as a Distinguished Legal Advocate by the same organization.
Outside his law practice, Mr. Harris is affiliated with many prominent legal organizations, including the Nevada Justice Association and the American Association for Justice. In addition, he has been inducted into the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum for the many multimillion verdicts and settlements he has accrued for his clients.
