Attorney Cathy J. Green serves of counsel to Shaheen & Gordon, PA, law firm, which has five total law offices in New Hampshire and Maine. A nationally ranked trial attorney with more than 43 of total legal experience, Ms. Green provides exceptional counsel and support to clients across New Hampshire who stand accused or are under investigation for any type of felony or misdemeanor offense.

Ms. Green began her legal career serving as a public defender with the Hillsborough County Public Defender Office, and she has considerable trial experience at both the state and federal levels. From her efforts, she has achieved a long record of securing successful outcomes for her clients who face a variety of criminal charges, ranging from relatively minor traffic offenses all the way up to sexual assault and homicide.

Honored for her outstanding legal abilities and professionalism, Ms. Green has earned induction into the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers as a fellow, and she has received an AV Preeminent peer review rating* from Martindale-Hubbell along with consistent recognition from The Best Lawyers in America. She has also received the E. A 1974 graduate of Trinity College, Ms. Green obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of New Hampshire School of Law in 1977. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.

A leader in her legal community, Ms. Green has served as president, treasurer and board of directors member of the New Hampshire Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and she has served as president of the New Hampshire Public Defender Program since 2009 as well as member of its board. She has also served on a number of committees, councils and commissions for the New Hampshire Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire, as well as the New Hampshire Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

In addition, Ms. Green has served as faculty for several programs sponsored by the New Hampshire Bar Association and the New Hampshire Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and other organizations, and she has written extensively and conducted lectures and seminars on a variety of legal topics related to criminal defense, effective trial advocacy, legal ethics and other subjects. She also serves on the board of trustees for both the University of New Hampshire School of Law and the University System of New Hampshire.
