Philip M. Kalil

As an associate with Germaine & Blaszka, P.A., in Derry, New Hampshire, Mr. Philip M. Kalil focuses his practice of law in criminal defense matters. Since joining the firm in 2010, Mr. Kalil has developed a reputation as a fierce advocate for those who have been accused of driving while intoxicated or related offenses, and he understands the kind of damage that a conviction for drunk driving can do to an individual’s reputation. While most of Mr. Kalil’s time is devoted to DWI cases and other criminal defense matters, he also assists clients in Rockingham, Strafford, Merrimack and Hillsborough counties with bankruptcy and consumer law issues.

Mr. Kalil earned his bachelor’s degree from Sacred Heart University and his Juris Doctor from the Massachusetts School of Law. He went on to be admitted to practice law before the state courts of Massachusetts in 2007 and the state courts of New Hampshire in 2008. He is also licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Hampshire. Mr. Kalil has served as the president of the Greater Salem Bar Association since 2009, and he is also a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association, the Rockingham County Bar Association, the New Hampshire Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the DUI Defense Lawyers Association and the National College for DUI Defense.

A devotion to both his clients and the ethics of his profession has helped Mr. Kalil to earn peer rating of 10 through Avvo. Avvo ratings are based on experience, industry recognition, professional conduct, and client and attorney reviews. Mr. Kalil also shares the benefit of his experience with his peers. His work on “A Practical Guide to Trying DWI Cases in New Hampshire” for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education included writing an entire chapter on the collateral consequences of being charged with and convicted of drunk driving.
