Along with practicing before all New Hampshire state courts, Mr. McDowell is also licensed to practice in Massachusetts, and he is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the District of New Hampshire and the District of Massachusetts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st and 4th Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

A leader in his legal community, Mr. McDowell has served on a number of committees for the New Hampshire Bar Association. He has also served as chair of the Committee on Character & Fitness for the New Hampshire Supreme Court.
