J. Daniel Marr

J. Daniel Marr is a director at Hamblett & Kerrigan, PA. Mr. Marr has a varied practice that includes civil litigation, business transactions and counseling, creditors’ rights, employment law and landlord-tenant disputes, among other matters. He is admitted to practice in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit.

Mr. Marr has represented entrepreneurs who are looking to start a new venture. At the outset, he advises them on the most appropriate form of legal entity that the business should operate under, and once it has been formed, he drafts employment agreements and other contracts and provides advice and counsel on regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and other matters. Mr. Marr also appears on their behalf in court or before arbitration panels in the event that disputes arise.

Mr. Marr’s creditors’ rights practice has involved his representation of banks and other lending institutions and secured creditors in bankruptcy proceedings, debt restructuring, workouts, commercial landlord disputes, and collections. In addition to his business litigation experience, he has appeared on behalf of clients before probate courts in matters involving will disputes and fiduciary duty breaches. He is a 1987 graduate of what used to be known as the Franklin Pierce Law Center, which is now part of the University of New Hampshire.
