Michael P. Rainboth

Michael P. Rainboth is a founding partner at Rainboth, Coughenour & Lown, PA, an injury law firm based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. His practice focuses on representing individuals and families facing the serious consequences of injuries, medical errors and workplace accidents. His areas of practice include catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, workers’ compensation and medical malpractice.

With decades of experience in injury law, Mr. Rainboth brings a focused, client-centered approach to cases involving significant injuries and complex legal issues. He works to help injured individuals and families understand their legal options and pursue the compensation and benefits they may be entitled to after a life-changing accident, medical error or workplace injury. 

Mr. Rainboth earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, graduating cum laude, from the University of New Hampshire in Durham, New Hampshire, in 1985. He later went on to attend the Suffolk University Law School in Boston, where he honed his shrewd legal acumen and obtained his Juris Doctor in 1988, graduating cum laude.

Following law school, Mr. Rainboth began his legal career as a judicial law clerk with the New Hampshire Superior Court, serving from 1988 to 1989. His early experience working within the court system provided a foundation for his subsequent legal practice and advocacy on behalf of injured individuals.

Mr. Rainboth was admitted to practice law in New Hampshire and in Maine. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the New Hampshire Bar Association, the Maine State Bar Association, the New Hampshire Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice. His professional affiliations reflect his involvement in the legal community and his commitment to representing individuals navigating complex injury-related claims.
