With nearly four decades of experience, Stephanie Frangos Hagan provides judicious legal representation to clients in their contentious family law matters, helping them overcome the challenges they face so that they can move on to better opportunities in their lives. Ms. Hagan completed her undergraduate studies in 1982, graduating with her Bachelor of Arts degree in business and political science from Rutgers University. Later, she went on to enroll at the Seton Hall University School of Law, where her legal acumen and talents were sharpened. Receiving her Juris Doctor in 1985, she obtained her license to practice law in New Jersey the same year and became admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
A stalwart advocate for her clients, Ms. Hagan utilizes all the legal tools available in her arsenal to pursue every legal avenue with grace and poise. For her many contributions, she has been rated “Excellent” on Avvo and has been certified as a family law arbitrator by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. In addition, she was also the recipient of the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) Legislative Award. Ms. Hagan has been a Court Approved Family Law Mediator since 2001 and was added to the roster of Court Approved Parent Coordinators in 2024.
Outside her law practice, Ms. Hagan is a member of the Morris County Bar Association (MCBA) having served as President in 2019 and former co-chair of the Family Law Committee. She is also a member of the Union County Bar Association having served as a member of the Early Settlement Panel for more than (25) years. Within the NJSBA, she served as the Chair (2017-2018) on the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section where she has been a member for more than (25) years, she is also a member of the Legislative and Professional Responsibility sections and has served as the Morris County Bar Association's representative on the Judicial Prosecutorial and Appointments Committee since 2020.
