Alan L. Schwalbe

A partner at Jacobs, Schwalbe & Petruzzelli, P.C., in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Alan L. Schwalbe has been advocating for injured and disabled individuals since 1980. With decades of courtroom-proven experience in workers’ compensation, personal injury litigation and Social Security Disability claims, he combines deep subject-matter competency with tenacious advocacy to secure the favorable compensation his clients deserve.

Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a workers’ compensation attorney, Mr. Schwalbe has appeared before the New Jersey Division of Workers’ Compensation, the Superior Court of New Jersey at both trial and appellate levels, the federal district courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit. He is also AV Preeminent* peer-review rated through Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible peer review honor.

A committed scholar, Mr. Schwalbe received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Mary Washington College (now the University of Mary Washington) and his Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law, Camden. He is widely recognized for his knowledge of New Jersey workers’ compensation law and has authored numerous articles on the subject, including “Update: Third-Party Workers’ Compensation Liens,” published in New Jersey Lawyer. He has also presented and lectured on legal issues through radio, television, live seminars and professional and civic organizations.

In addition to his work on behalf of clients, Mr. Schwalbe has held significant leadership roles in the legal community. He has served as a board member, officer and president of the Camden County Bar Association, as well as trustee, officer and president of the Camden County Bar Foundation. He has also served as a trustee of Camden Regional Legal Services and as a member of the Supreme Court of New Jersey District Ethics Committee for Burlington County, District IIIB.

Mr. Schwalbe currently serves as co-chair of the Workers’ Compensation Committee of the Camden County Bar Association and previously co-chaired its Public Benefits Committee. He is also an active member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the New Jersey Association for Justice.
