Michael A. Ferrara, Jr.

For more than half a century, Michael A. Ferrara Jr. has helped clients overcome complex legal problems such as medical malpractice, product liability, nursing home abuse and neglect and construction site injuries, as well as defective drugs, tractor-trailer and bus accidents, and other motor vehicle crashes. From his law office, The Ferrara Law Firm, LLC, in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, he represents clients in Camden and Burlington counties as well. He is a certified civil trial attorney by the New Jersey Supreme Court and the National Board of Trial Advocacy and is a board-certified trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocates.

Mr. Ferrara understands the emotional and physical toll a personal injury can have on a person. A veteran of the Vietnam War, his service to his country and valor shown during unimaginable hardship earned him two Navy Unit Commendations, a Vietnam Campaign Medal and a Vietnam Service Medal with Three Bronze Stars. He is passionate about giving his clients the relief they deserve and bringing the negligent party to justice for their wrongdoing, and to ensure that such tragedies do not repeat themselves.

A long-standing pillar of leadership, high ethical standards and professionalism, Mr. Ferrara has earned numerous accolades and acknowledgements from prestigious legal organizations throughout his illustrious career. He received the Trial Bar Award from the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey, was named Professional Lawyer of the Year by the New Jersey Association for Justice and was awarded the Gold Medal for Distinguished Achievement by the Association of Trial Attorneys of America. In addition, he is rated AV Preeminent* through Martindale-Hubbell and holds a perfect “10.0” rating on Avvo.

For his many successful verdicts and settlements, Mr. Ferrara is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and is an Invited Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Attorneys – one of 500 selected in the world.

Mr. Ferrara graduated in 1964 from Villanova University with his Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and enrolled at the University of San Diego School of Law in 1969. During his time in law school, he was a member of the Student Bar Association and Phi Alpha Delta. He received his Juris Doctor in 1972 and obtained his license to practice in Pennsylvania the same year, and later, in New Jersey. He is also admitted to practice before the following courts:

• The United States District Court for the District of New Jersey
• The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania
• The United States Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit
• The Supreme Court of the United States

Outside his law practice, Mr. Ferrara stays active within his legal community with memberships in organizations such as the New Jersey Trial Lawyers Association, the American Board of Trial Advocates, the National Board of Trial Advocacy and many more. He regularly hosts a CBS radio show and covers a variety of legal topics.
