Alissa D. Hascup represents individuals throughout northern New Jersey from the law office of Einhorn, Barbarito, Frost & Botwinick, PC, in Denville, New Jersey. She helps clients who are facing criminal charges involving:

An aggressive and knowledgeable attorney, Ms. Hascup has created a niche in the legal community due to her professionalism and passion for protecting her clients’ rights in both the state and federal courts. She believes that anyone charged with a crime deserves to be treated fairly and with dignity before the judicial system. She shows particular interest in advocating on behalf of juveniles, as the present and future stakes are high for them. Besides defending individuals charged with crimes, she assists government officials and law enforcement officers accused of criminal and administrative charges.

Ms. Hascup obtained her bachelor’s degree in leadership studies/pre-law from the University of Richmond, and her Juris Doctor degree with highest honors from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. She is licensed to practice in New Jersey and before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.

After honing her legal skills for a few years working for some of the top criminal defense firms in New Jersey,     Ms. Hascup became an assistant prosecutor at the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office. While there, she served as an on-duty prosecutor for the Major Crimes Unit, where she assisted in conducting witness and suspect interviews, preparing search warrants and responding to crime scenes. Having learned a great deal during her tenure as a prosecutor, she transitioned back into private practice in 2013.

For all her notable achievements, Ms. Hascup has been named one of America’s Most Honored Lawyers by The American Registry every year since 2020 and has received Avvo’s Clients’ Choice award and a “Superb” rating. She is also the recipient of the "10 Best in New Jersey" – Client Satisfaction Award by the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys. Furthermore, she has been peer-reviewed on Martindale-Hubbell with a 4.8/5 rating for her legal acumen and analytical capability.

A curious and zealous learner, Ms. Hascup shares her insights with her peers by lecturing at the Institute of Continuing Legal Education on various criminal law topics. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey and the National Association of Women Lawyers.
