Elliot Ostrove joined EPSTEIN OSTROVE, LLC after practicing for more than 15 years in the complex commercial litigation department of a large regional law firm. He represents individuals and companies of all sizes in all aspects of commercial litigation in courts throughout the country, as well as in arbitration and mediation.
He is the Chair of our Commercial Litigation Department with practice areas that include trade secret/non-compete litigation, real estate litigation, consumer protection litigation, shareholder litigation, employment litigation, intellectual property litigation, class actions, and litigation of claims of fraud. Elliot is a frequent author and speaker about litigation and on issues such as class actions, consumer protection laws, trade secrets, non-compete agreements, and internet commerce.
Elliot also supervises the Firm’s Outside General Counsel Practice Group, a group whose primary focus is the proactive mitigation of legal risk through effective anticipation of issues, providing a range of legal services to help our clients launch, grow, and protect their businesses. A member of the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators, Elliot is a New Jersey Court Rule 1:40 qualified mediator. He is also included on the roster of mediators for the New York Supreme Court, New York County, Commercial Division.
Elliot has been recognized as a leading litigation practitioner by Benchmark Litigation: The Definitive Guide to America’s Leading Litigation Firms & Attorneys. He has been recognized as a New Jersey Super Lawyer, and, in 2011, was named by the New Jersey Law Journal as one of “40 Under 40.” Elliot is a Fellow in The Trial Lawyer Honorary Society of the Litigation Counsel of America.
Through an effort he began in 2009, Elliot has teamed up with his former firm, Day Pitney, LLP, and with Merck & Co., to provide pro bono representation to Holocaust Survivors, assisting with the application process for certain reparations and pension payments. Elliot also sits on the Board of Directors of the National Organization for Albinism and Hypopigmentation – NOAH.
By Order effective March 1, 2017, Elliot was appointed by the Supreme Court of New Jersey for a five year term to the Board of Trustees for the IOLTA Fund of the Bar of New Jersey. Elliot was elected Chair of the Board of Trustees for the IOLTA Fund of the Bar of New Jersey for the term beginning March 2021.
