Serving as outside fractional counsel, he supports numerous clients in aligning their legal strategies with corporate ambitions, tackling complex challenges along the way. As a business owner himself, he is well-equipped to guide entrepreneurs and their companies through legal labyrinths.
Beyond his role as a legal advocate, Mr. Ninan is celebrated for fostering collaboration and crafting equitable solutions in disputes, a skill that led to his appointment in 2023 as a certified mediator by the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, marking him as one of the youngest on their panel.
Mr. Ninan provides comprehensive advice on workplace policies, procedures and practices, specializing in crafting employment agreements, noncompete and confidentiality clauses, separation agreements and guidance on workforce reductions. In employment litigation, he has adeptly managed cases involving restrictive covenants and wage and hour claims across New York and New Jersey state and federal courts.
An alumnus of Binghamton University, where he graduated cum laude in 2008, Mr. Ninan earned his law degree from Rutgers University in 2011. During his time there, he contributed to the Journal of Law and Religion. His career path included clerking for the Honorable Stephen M. Holden, Ph.D., J.S.C., and gaining valuable experience in associate roles within prominent national law firms across New York and New Jersey before establishing his own practice.
As an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers Law School, Mr. Ninan shares his insights and skills in Deposition Advocacy with aspiring lawyers. He also serves as a Faculty Member at Lawline, offering continuing legal education courses. His leadership and accomplishments have been acknowledged by various organizations, including an AV Preeminent* peer-review rating through Martindale-Hubbell.

Verdicts / Settlements (Case Results)
- Derrico and Ninan Win Unanimous Defense Verdict in High Exposure Personal Injury Case Donald Derrico (Partner-White Plains) and Gigio Ninan (Associate-White Plains) obtained a unanimous liability defense verdict in New York Supreme Court, Westchester County, in a case in which the plaintiff’s demand was $5 million. The jury deliberated for less than one hour. The case involved a bus-knockdown of a pedestrian in Mount Vernon by the defendant bus company on a rainy morning in October 2011. The plaintiff, who lived three blocks from her workplace, claimed that she was walking to work when she was struck in the crosswalk by the front of one of the defendant’s buses. The plaintiff underwent rotator cuff, pelvic fracture and spinal fusion surgeries. Don and his team, which also included Lorraine Girolamo (Associate-White Plains), parachuted in to defend the municipality, which owns the bus company, and the municipality’s excess insurance carrier less than two-and-half weeks prior to the trial date. The defense strategy, which was pivotal to the success of this case, involved Don and Gio arguing and winning the in limine applications to preclude the bus driver’s prior accident and the internal report and hearing conducted by the defendant bus company related to this accident, which resulted in attributing fault to the driver and dismissing him from duty., 2014
