Powers Jr., gaining valuable experience in the Superior Court of New Jersey. During law school, she was the Riccio Chair on the Interscholastic Moot Court Board, participated in the Civil Litigation Clinic and was active in the Women's Law Forum and the New Jersey Law and Education Empowerment Project.
Among the many cases she has won for her clients, Ms. Bland won $1.95 million after improper apartment floor coverings caused a tenant's fall downstairs, leading to complex regional pain syndrome. She is an active member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the New Jersey Association for Justice and the Brennan-Vanderbilt American Inn of Court, an Essex County trial advocacy group. As an adjunct professor with Seton Hall Law's Moot Court Program (MTCT), she is passionate about assisting the next generation of legal thinkers in addition to supporting clients in their fight for justice and the compensation they deserve.
