Melissa Suarez

Representing clients in all real estate-related matters, Melissa Suarez provides professional and diligent representation at the Law Office of M. Suarez in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. She strives to help her clients with complex legal issues such as estate planning, residential and commercial real estate transactions and business law.

Ms. Suarez is proactive and always available to her clients. She understands that for future first-time homeowners, the prospect of buying a house can be a daunting task. Aware of the stress that comes with the territory, she takes the brunt of the legal challenges and gives her clients the peace of mind they deserve when making big life decisions.  

In practice for over 20 years, Ms. Suarez has maintained a reputation in New Jersey and New York for her steadiness and civility, especially when faced with tough legal hurdles. She was appointed to the New Jersey Attorney Ethics Committee by the New Jersey Supreme Court for a four-year term, ending in 2011. Rated “Excellent” on Avvo for her contribution to the legal field, she is a recipient of the Meritorious Public Service Award by the Supreme Court District Ethics Committee (New Jersey). 

Prior to receiving her Juris Doctor in 1999 from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University, Ms. Suarez completed her undergraduate studies in English language and literature at Kean University, graduating cum laude with her B.A. degree in 1996. Admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, she is also licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Ms. Suarez stays involved in her legal community with active memberships in many legal organizations. This includes the New Jersey State Bar Association; Real Property and Trust and Estate Sections, and LGBTQ+ section. She is also an affiliate member of the Greater Bergen Board of Realtors and supports several other professional organizations and charities. Further, Ms. Suarez served as a Director of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) from 2015-2016, focusing on the sustainability of real estate within the Hispanic community.
