He also attended Seton Hall University prior, receiving an English degree in 1971. He was granted bar admission in 1975 by the state of New Jersey. He has also been certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a civil trial attorney in 1990 and was recertified in 1997,2005,2009 and 2015. Mr. Lanza has received certification as a civil trial attorney by the National Board of Trial Advocacy in 1998 and contiues to be certified. Mr. Lanza has tried to verdict major criminal and civil trials.

Mr. Lanza practices in the areas of Hunterdon, Middlesex and Somerset counties, New Jersey. In these areas, Mr. Lanza strives to produce superior outcomes for his clients. He served on the District XIII Fee Arbitration Committee of the New Jersey Supreme Court from 2015 to 2018.

  • State v. Erik Gall: the Grand Jury indicted the defendant for attempted murder and arson. I represented the defendant throughout the case, which was tried to a jury verdict of "not guilty"., 2017
  • Bujak vs. Bortniker - represented the Plaintiff in a medical malpractice case resulting in a $750,000.00 jury verdict with a zero offer from Defendant; Several personal injuries cases resulting in seven digit settlements which are subject to confidentiality agreements.  In 2009, Mr. Lanza settled two personal injury cases for $1.3 million and $1 million.
