Jonathan H. Lomurro

Jonathan H. Lomurro is a partner at Lomurro Munson LLC, with offices in New Jersey. Representing clients throughout the state, he specializes in civil trail practice with a focus in the field of medical malpractice.  He is Board Certificated in Medical Malpractice Law by the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys and Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.  He holds a Certification in Civil Trial Practice from the Supreme Court of the State of New Jersey.  

Mr. Lomurro obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. He then pursued his legal studies at Delaware School of Law wherein he was awarded his Juris Doctorate. After graduation, he was an associate at the predecessor to his current firm while obtaining an LL.M. in trial advocacy from Temple University Beasley School of Law. Admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, Mr. Lomurro is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.

The high regard in which Mr. Lomurro is held by his fellow professionals is attested to by the many awards and accolades he has received.  Recipient of the 2019 New Jersey State Bar Association Award for Excellence in Medical Malpractice Litigation.  Listed as a 2021 Trailblazer in Health Care Law by the National Law Journal, Named Young Lawyer of the Year by the New Jersey State Bar Association in 2011, he has also been given an AV* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Lomurro is an active participant in a wide variety of legal organizations, including the American, New Jersey, and Monmouth bar associations, the New Jersey Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice, the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey, and The Haydn Proctor Inn of Court. Frequently asked to give presentations on trial techniques and strategy before groups of fellow attorneys, he has also contributed articles on those topics to several legal publications.

Mr. Lomurro has published the following books: Dropping the Digital Anchor (AAJ Press), New Jersey Medical Malpractice Law (ALM), New Jersey Legal Malpractice Law & Litigation Ethics (JAG PRESS), Try It (NJICLE), and Litigation Technology for the Modern Practitioner (NJICLE).
