Richard Galex

RICHARD GALEX has distinguished himself as one of the leading personal injury attorneys in New Jersey. Mr. Galex changed the law in New Jersey with respect to direct to consumer advertising.  His advocacy resulted in a landmark decision entitled Perez v. Wyeth-Ayerst, where the highest court in New Jersey recognized that a patient who is influenced to request medications based upon television and magazine advertising is entitled to be warned by the drug company of the risks of use of the drug. Mr. Galex is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, Florida, Ohio, Texas, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Federal District Courts of New Jersey and Florida, the United States Court of Federal Claims, and the United States Supreme Court.  Mr. Galex, formerly of Galex, Tortoreti & Tomes, and Garruto, Galex & Cantor, is a member of multiple legal organizations, including the American Trial Lawyers Association; American Association for Justice; The Middlesex County Trial Lawyers; the Middlesex County Bar; and The District VIII Ethics Committee.  Mr. Galex was recently named a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.  In 2010, he was made an Emeritus member of the New Jersey Bar.
